IX Customers are complaining about “Retard Support”, sites are constantly down, database’s are slow to not moving, and the fact that IX Web Hosting makes promises to lure customers, and once they have signed up, the promises vanish.. And yes, I can confirm this from personal experience’s with IX.

So, what was   the big fish Fathi Said doing before IX Web Hosting?..

In 2003 more than 60,000 people were duped by a hosting company called ” Feature Price ” owned by… our very own Fathi Said  and  Travis Johnson.  They were based in Ft. Meyers, Florida.

Feature Price was known to be vastly profitable in 2002, reportedly racking in $1.6 million in profits. At its peak, the company had 60,000 customers serviced by 23 employees and several co-founders, of which Johnson was one and Fathi Said, an Austrian citizen, the other. Feature Price is said to have been adding about 3,000 customers per month, with churn averaging four per cent. Technical support, outsourced to a company in India, was reported to be average.
The business started disintegrating in December 2002 when Said and Johnson had a falling out, sources say. Said left the company, reportedly returning to Austria.

Soon after, more than 60,000 customers recieved a message that they had 2 weeks to move their sites to another host..  these customers lost everything!!..

At the same periode that ” Feature Price” closed their doors on 60,000 paying customers, these same customers started recieving the following Email from Fathi Said

I am emailing you in regards to your domain name deprenda.com which is or was hosted by FeaturePrice.Com. Please note that if you are satisfied with the service you currently receive from Feature Price, you should ignore this email.

For more information on how you can RETAIN three months of your pre-paid hosting term with FeaturePrice but continue hosting at a more reliable service, please read on.

First off, please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Fathi Said and I am the founder and former CEO of FeaturePrice.Com. I departed Feature Price involuntarily in December 2002 when my former partner Travis Johnson with the help of his lawyer effectively stole my company.

Since then my former partner has implemented new service policies which have negatively affected the performance of the company. At the present time, the financial situation of Feature Price and its parent company Hosting-Network, Inc. is highly critical.

If you would like to read more about Feature Price, please access this website:

This email serves two purposes:

First and foremost you are now informed about the critical situation of your (former) hosting company and you can take corrective actions when your Feature Price will expire (without notice), so that your livelihood or at least your website will not be affected.

The second purpose of this email is to inform you of a new hosting company that I have launched:
IX Web Hosting at h*tp://w*w.ixwebhosting.com/fp/

As a special offer to Feature Price customers, IX Web Hosting is offering the SAME hosting plans that you were subscribed with at Feature Price and will provide compensation of 3 months of free hosting for your hosting term, but with more features, higher configurability and better billing terms (you can pay quarterly, semi-annual, or for discounts: annual or for 2-years).

We will CREDIT any account you open with IX Web Hosting with THREE (3) additional months of free web hosting service as a special gesture towards (former) Feature Price customers. Example: You sign-up for a “FP Mini Plan” or for a “FP Premium Plan” with IX Web Hosting. Once you have signed up, you can request a credit to be applied to your account. Within 48 hours, we will credit the value of the three free months against your balance with IX Web Hosting. Please note: This special offer is only available if you have or had an account with Feature Price. You must be a customer of IX Web Hosting to be eligible for this free service. You can receive one such credit for each account you have or had with Feature Price.
Once you have chosen one of our plans and signed up, you can request the credit to your account here:

Interesting isn’t it,  someone can rip off 60,000  paying customers, and within weeks start a new but exactly the same scheme

Now take a look at some customer reviews from back then… They look exactly like IX web reviews today.

  1. Becky says:

IX hosting has been doing this for a very long time. Previously the owner of IX started Feature Price Hosting — which went bankrupt and had terrible service. That’s why he started IX.

Incidentally, IX is located in Hopkinsville, KY — which is a terrible place for a datacenter because they have yearly ice storms which routinely knock out power lines, communication lines, etc. Even satellite communication is affected during their ice storm season.

Check out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I1dlIO1DKJU That video shows you how IX scams people with fake reviews like you mentioned.
