I have got Email from Ixwebhosting today:
    “Dear User,

IX is committed to providing the very best equipment and software to protect your website data and settings. Therefore, periodically, it is required for us to take our systems offline to perform upgrades and do routine maintenance. On Saturday, July 30th, from 12:00am to 5:00am EDT, we will be taking one of the systems that your account resides on, down for maintenance. You will not need to do anything before or after this maintenance period, although we always strongly encourage customers to create backups of their sites routinely.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact one of our Personal Support Agents via ticket, email, chat, or phone!

This crap keeps on coming in all the time. The truth is that there is a very high frequency of server interruptions and slow-downs. I don’t know what’s wrong with IX, but they certainly don’t know how to run an internet hosting service. I expect they’ll soon be out of business.

  3. Jeff Walton says:

    Is your site still relevant?
Haven’t seen any updates on ixwebhostwarning lately, is IX cleaning up their act, or are they still a crap hosting provider?

  4. clhmedia says:

does anyone know of a multi-domain / multi-ip hosting company like IXweb that isnt so crappy?!?!?

i hate IXweb with a passion but i’m having a really hard time finding a company that allows multiple domains under one hosting account that is less than $100 a year

  5. John says:

  7. Nick Case-Leng says:

I’m also wondering if your site is relevant any longer. How about comparing problems on different hosting services? And also weighing this against positive experiences? Just being an ‘abuse’ site is not cool.
